Lange Casts His Vote at 6:30 am This Morning

Forrest "Woody" Lange cast his vote to become the next Alderman of the 23rd Ward this morning at Mt. Tabor UCC Church at 6520 Arsenal Street at 6:30 am. He was joined by his wife Barbara Lange, who also voted, and it was the beginning of what will be a long day of additional campaigning as City of St. Louis voting continues until 7 pm.

Again, Woody comes into the election today with the best voter support base of all the 7 candidates.

It is felt that his strong name recognition and significant voter base from the last election may lead him to a surprise victory.

The 23rd Ward Citizens for Lange wish him the best and hope to celebrate a victory this evening.

If you have not voted yet today please make it to one of the 23rd Ward polls and VOTE # 7 - Forrest "Woody" Lange.

23rd Ward - Lange's Voting Base

Yes, it is very true that in the last 23rd Ward Election on April 5, 2005, Forrest "Woody" Lange captured 37.37% of the total popular vote of the 23rd Ward even though his opponent was heavily supported by Mayor Francis Slay's political machine.

In a short span of about 2 months back in 2005, Lange was able to create close to 40% voters' support without any Slay backing (nor the 23rd Ward Democratic Committee Endorsement). Lange too is on the Democratic ticket, and has also supported the 23rd Ward Democratic Committee throughout the years.

Forrest "Woody" Lange has created the best potential voter support of all seven (7) candidates. We know that the universe of about 2,500 voters in the Ward "know" who he is, and also know that he still represents the same solid platform when the voters supported him in 2005.

Lange is the closest thing to a political pioneer the 23rd Ward has had in "decades" . . . yes - decades. Remember 2005 and Think Lange for 2009.
